To Read or Not to Read: This is a fast pace mystery/thriller. If that's your thing, I would say definitely read it. However, take the time to orient yourself by reading the first in the series. I was given this book to review without the prequel and there a MANY references without an explanation that are made about the previous story. There are inside jokes that you are not privy to, comments about characters storyline that you don't know, etc. This left a bit of a sour note for me. I think the story would have been much richer had I read the previous novel to have the references to pull from. Either that or the author could have explained a bit more of what happened in this book.

Overall: Entertaining read overall. Very fast paced and I appreciated the short chapters - being a mom I don't have time to sit down and read 80 pages in a chapter so books with chapters I can finish in approx. 10 min are my fav. (Yes, I'm that weirdo that likes to finish on a chapter end!) I really liked the characters, Clare especially. They are well developed and each independent of each other. The storyline is well written, where the author even points out the limitations of what the characters see. The ending is wrapped up well, but still gives room for a follow up.

Other Interesting Notes: Violence, stalking, police corruption, are all triggers here. Bradwell, keeps things moving with fast pace car chases and human "hunting" scenarios. There are twists and turns all along the way that keep you guessing. There is a bit of unrequited love, but there is a sort of conclusion to it.
